Job Overview:We are currently seeking a full time Vendor Administrator to join our wellness team located at a Fortune 500 company. The position will be based of out of the client's New York, NY office.
The Project Manager for Benefits and Wellness function will report directly to the Optum On-site Senior Director and serve in a Vendor Management capacity. The primary responsibility of this role is to represent Optum On-site at our client and maintain the division s vendor management program/procedures and coordinate implementation across their division.
Principal Duties on Behalf of Client:
Further develop and maintain a divisional vendor management program and procedure set that are aligned to the firmwide ProgramTake appropriate actions to ensure the division s adherence to the firm s PolicyEnsure Vendor Relationship Owners (VROs) are continually trained and informed of their role in the vendor management life cycleEnsure accuracy of vendor profiles in firm systemsReview and approve new vendor relationships and off boarding requests to confirm relevance to business requirementsOversee timely completion of required oversight tasks by Vendor Relationship Owners (VROs)Implement divisional control processes to ensure that all vendor risks and incidents are identified, logged, and appropriately managedEngage Risk Partners, as needed, on behalf of the division to understand vendor risksReporting, at least quarterly, to divisional leadership on divisional vendor management activities, including outstanding risks
Essential Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration, specializing in Procurement and Contract Management, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field5+ years of related work experience, preferably in Vendor Management, Procurement, Contract Administration, HR Administration, Project ManagementExcellent project management skills and impeccable attention to detailExceptional communication skills and interpersonal relationship management skills (written and oral) with the ability to drive resultsStrong leadership skills, ability to work with leadership at various levels of the firmAbility to prioritize workload and work in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
