Roles & Responsibilities:

* Greets patients, families, vendors and visitors. Assists with telephones. Oversees that the appropriate information is relayed. Takes messages as indicated.
* Prepares follow up appointments for the infant screening and makes appointments on computerized programs used in each division.
* Responsible for overall activities of universal hearing screening including follow up at all divisions assigned.
* Prepares all records and documentation necessary to meet confidential NYS regulations for mandatory infant screenings.
* Enters patient confidential information into specific computer system for infant screening.
* Prepares confidential records and forms as per the departments policies and procedures.
* Deals discreetly with large amounts of sensitive, cnfidential information concerning hospital affairs, information in minutes, letters and other documents necesssary to relay to families and the state.
* Obtains medical records, reports, etc.,
* Coordinates/prepares daily sign in sheets/schedule, this includes verifying schedules.
* Manages/maintains inventory of office supplies and infant hearing screening program supplies.
* Assists with the QI necessary to meet the New York State standards.
* Oversees that all patients are called back within working day.

Requirements:

* High School graduate or equivalent. Some college required. (College graduate preferred)
* Knowledge of basic computer skills preferred.
