Position: Chief School Financial Officer (CSFO)
Type of Employment: 12 Months/240 days
Location: Central Office
Salary: Negotiable within a $55,000.00 to $75,000.00 range based on relevant qualifications and experience

Position Requirements:
1. Applicant must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a concentration in a business-related curriculum (accounting, finance, business, business administration, etc.) including at least nine (9) semester hours in accounting; OR, a Masters of Business Administration or other graduate degree in a business-related field from a regionally-accredited institution; OR license/certification as a Certified Public Accountant; OR a Bachelor's degree in a concentration other than a business-related curriculum but has at least 24 semester credit hours in business-related courses, with at least 18 credit hours in the following courses (or equivalent courses):
-Principles of Accounting I (3 credit hours)
-Principles of Account II (3 credit hours)
-Intermediate Accounting (3 credit hours)
-Cost Accounting (3 credit hours)
-Government Accounting (3 credit hours)
-Financial Management (3 credit hours)
-General Management (3 credit hours)
-Business (or Organizational) Communications (3 credit hours)
2. Three (3) years of experience in public agency accounting preferred
3. Ability to receive Chief School Financial Officer designation from the Alabama State Department of Education and/or Alabama Association of School Business Officials within three (3) years and then maintain same;
4. Ability to be bonded by a licensed insurance company
Official transcript(s) and/or copy of Certified Public Accountant certificate will be required if applicant is selected for an interview.
